“Mike Breen, Mark Jackson and Jeff van Gundy return courtside”: Veteran NBA on ABC crew will be calling Bucks vs Nets Game 4 from courtside
Mark Jackson, Mike Breen and Jeff van Gundy will be returning courtside for the first time this season for Bucks vs Nets.
Basketball, much like every other activity in the world, has been direly affected by the ongoing global pandemic. USA is recovering slowly from the impact of the disease that ravaged every service industry across the world. We spent 2020 and this season adapting to new situations.
However, with much of the population now vaccinated, people in USA are starting to venture out more. Fans have returned in nearly full capacity across most NBA arenas. There have been several playoff games in front of 15000+ crowds already.
With all of this in mind, it was only a matter of time before our NBA announcers returned courtside. After all, the vast majority of NBA games are burned into fans’ brains because of the announcers’ words.
NBA on ABC crew Mike Breen, Mark Jackson and Jeff van Gundy return courtside for Game 4
It will be a sight for sore eyes for many viewers to see this renowned trio back courtside today. Jeff van Gundy, in particular, will likely be bowled over by the occasion, having missed in-person basketball for such a long time.
Joe Vardon, NBA insider for The Athletic, has just confirmed for all of us that today’s game will have the crew courtside.
For the first time this season, the NBA will have TV announcers on the court. Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy, and Mark Jackson will resume their usual positions for ABC’s broadcast of Bucks-Nets. This is the trio’s first time courtside since March 7, 2020 in SF @TheAthleticNBA

Not everyone loves Jeff van Gundy going off about rule changes the NBA still has to implement. Not everyone loves Mark Jackson saying ‘Mama, there goes that man.’ But you just can’t deny how different it will feel this time around.
