Most wickets in WTC 2021: The SportsRush present before you a list of highest wicket-takers in the ICC World Test Championship.
India and New Zealand are all set to take on each other for the first time at a neutral venue to play in the historic final of the inaugural ICC World Test Championship.
Having commenced with the Ashes 2019 a couple of years ago, the tournament will come to an end not without its share of disruptions to the extent that West Indies and South Africa will be playing a league match on the same day as the final will be played.
Given the format, bowlers were always expected to make stellar contributions in their respective teams’ victories and the same has been happening in the last two years.
As was the case in the Top 10 run-scorers list, the top two positions have been grabbed by players from Australia and England respectively. Unlike the batsmen’s list, New Zealand have a candidate in the Top Five among bowlers.
Having picked 51 wickets in 10 Tests at an average and strike rate of 20.66 and 45.9 respectively, New Zealand’s Tim Southee is the fourth-highest wicket taker in the competition as of now. Other than Southee, no other Kiwi bowler features in this list.

Just like New Zealand, India also have a solitary name in the wicket-taker’s list. Ravichandran Ashwin, who has picked 67 wickets in 13 Tests at 20.88 and 46.9, is currently the third-best bowler in World Test Championship and is highly likely to be grab the top spot by surpassing the likes of Stuart Broad (69) and Pat Cummins (70).
