‘Kevin Durant wears shoes one size bigger for NBA games’: Nets star could have led Brooklyn to the ECF if not for bigger shoes

NBA Twitter erupts with ‘what-ifs’ as they discover that Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant wears shoes a size bigger than needed

The Brooklyn Nets encountered one of the most heartbreaking losses in the current day NBA. The superteam in Brooklyn had been bothered by the injury bug all season long, and it continued in the playoffs as well. The three Nets superstars barely had a handful of games where all three of them played together. Ever since the Bucks series started, first they lost Harden for Games 1-4. In Game 4, Kyrie Irving injured himself and was out for the rest of the series.

Despite James Harden‘s return from Game 5 onwards, he was barely a shell of himself. He was acting more as the decoy, than himself. Kevin Durant tried to carry the Nets on his shoulders. In Game 7, he shot a tough shot, that tied up the game and sent it to OT. His foot was barely on the line, else the Nets would have had the lead, and won the game.

“If only Kevin Durant had smaller shoes on…” NBA Twitter ponders

Kevin Durant was magical last night. This was the third straight game that he played 40 or more minutes. He played the entire time in Game 5 and Game 7. Hence when that shot turned to be a two-pointer with his toe on the line, people were sad. Even Durant himself said, “My big-a** foot was on the line. It wasn’t God’s Plan”.

However, people dug out an old interview showing that Kevin Durant wears shoes a size bigger than his foot. He does so to be comfortable on the court, and allow his feet to feel light.

This opened up the floodgates to an already dire situation. Now people were wondering if KD just wore his size, the Nets wouldn’t be out.
