“Dell Curry lied to me about Scottie Pippen’s golf skills”: When Pat McAfee hilariously lost to the Bulls legend and immediately taught him how to shotgun a beer

Scottie Pippen embarrassed NFL legend Pat McAfee in a friendly golf tournament and the latter eventually helped Pippen shotgun a beer. 

Golf seems to be the sport most athletes gravitate towards when trying to destress and forget about the sport they currently play. North American sporting legends such as Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Tom Brady, Scottie Pippen, Steph Curry, amongst others, have all taken to the golf course on their own time and also for friendly games against other athletes. 

Michael Jordan was an avid golfer and even claimed that he used the excuse of wanting to play golf with his NBA rivals as a guise to learn their weaknesses. Scottie Pippen seems to have gotten quite acquainted with the game of golf following Jordan’s stint with the game as the former played in a professional tournament two years ago.

This tournament sported a bevy of NBA and NFL legends going at one another. The NBA team had guys like Mike Conley, Ray Allen, Dell Curry, and Scottie Pippen. The NFL team had Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, Kyle Williams, Pat McAfee, amongst others. 

Dell Curry seemingly led about Scottie Pippen and his golf skills to Pat McAfee. 

Pat McAfee was matched up against Scottie Pippen in this 2019 Baha Mar Showdown and going into the game, McAfee wasn’t sweating it all too much. This is because Dell Curry apparently told McAfee that Pippen hadn’t been all too great during his practice session when on the course.

However, as Pat McAfee retold on his show, this wasn’t the case one bit during the actual match-up. “I start seeing Scottie hit some shots that are just starting to come together and I’m like, ‘I think I was lied to,’” said McAfee. 

Pippen ended up beating McAfee but the NFL team was the one who eventually triumphed over the NBA team. There were no hard feeling between the two following McAfee’s loss however, as the latter taught the 6x champion how to shotgun a beer.
