“Kawhi Leonard going crazy!”: Mike Breen, our ESPN Commentator today, jokes about Clippers star’s lack of reaction to a big play in Suns vs Clippers Game 4
Mike Breen threw out one of his best jokes in this year’s playoffs after cameras at the Staples Center panned to Kawhi Leonard.
Kawhi Leonard is out for his 6th straight game in these playoffs. He’s currently trying his level best to recover from what the Clippers’ medical staff is calling an ACL strain. He’s probably out for the remainder of their run, judging from how he’s seated in the suite.
Leonard’s presence at the game, however, signifies a rallying point for the Clippers’ home crowd. He was averaging unreal numbers in his 11 playoffs appearances before this, and he’s a sign that the franchise is now setting its sights on bigger aims.
It’s highly probable that if the Clippers had him available for this series, we’d be looking at a Clippers lead at this point of the series. Be that as it may, they’re giving it all to level it up in Game 4.
Kawhi is also famous for being one of the most non-committal expressions in world sports. He’s often been deemed as a robot by tons of ardent NBA fans. ‘He’s a fun guy’ is a standing joke about the Klaw all around NBA Twitter.

Paul George hit a pretty tough mid-range shot midway into the 3rd quarter tonight. This was huge for the Clippers as it allowed them to draw within 2 possessions on the night.
The Staples Center crowd reacted pretty strongly to a great move by PG-13. The TNT backroom crew did its best to pan their shots all around the stadium. One of the frames to come up on live TV was that of Leonard seated in the executive suite.
Leonard remained as stone-faced as ever as the people around him in the arena erupted. This prompted Hall of Fame announcer Mike Breen to make a joke on all our minds.

Having Mike Breen at the mic has been a blessing for NBA fans all these years. He provides a level head in the booth as Mark Jackson and Jeff van Gundy remonstrate at the rules and officials all game long.
