“Michael Jordan feeds off the crowd booing him”: Bulls Legend disclosed how he used the crowds’ boos to become the best in NBA
Chicago Bulls icon Michael Jordan would use the crowds’ boos as energy to play hard every game. Calling it a “competitive situation”.
When fans often talk about the greatest players to grace the league, Michael Jordan is one of the names to be brought up the most in that conversation. Several basketball fanatics consider the Chicago Bulls icon as a basketball god. And looking at his dominant game, it was pretty evident why he was called so.
With a terrific resume built up over the span of 15 seasons, Mike ended his career as one of the most accomplished players ever. MJ was a 14-time All-Star, 11-time All-NBA, 10-time scoring champ, 6-time NBA champ, 5-time Finals MVP, 6-time MVP, and the list goes on and on. Rightfully, Jordan has been called the “GOAT”.

Behind his leadership, along with Hall-Of-Famers Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman, Jordan led the Bulls to be one of the greatest dynasties ever. Winning two successful three-peats in a span of 8 years, Chicago was the time to beat in the 1990s.
“I used the crowds’ boos as energy to continue to play hard”: Michael Jordan
Over the span of his illustrious career, His Airness ended his career averaging a whopping 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. There was no team His Airness hadn’t scored numerous 40-pieces on.
While he was loved in Chicago, fans of the other teams would often get frustrated with a 6-foot-6 guard torching their team. The visiting arena’s boos would be a major motivating factor for him to step his game up on another level.
“When they boo me, it’s a challenge that evidently I must be doing something right that they don’t like. So I gotta continue to do that. No player likes to be booed. But in that circumstance, I use it as energy for me to continue to play hard. They show that there are certain situations they don’t like the things that I do. It’s a competitive situation for me.”
