“I’m just here so I don’t get fined”: Giannis Antetokounmpo jokes about pulling a Marshawn Lynch ahead of NBA Finals Game 3 vs Suns
Bucks’ superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo kids around with the media after practice, as the Bucks gear up to face the Suns in Milwaukee
The Milwaukee Bucks have found themselves in a hole yet again. The Bucks, despite incredible performances by Giannis Antetokounmpo, are down 0-2 to start the NBA Finals. They lost both their games in Phoenix, but they look to shift the momentum back at home.
After practice last night, Giannis sat down to interact with the media. The first thing Antetokounmpo was asked was whether he was excited to have the Finals at home. Giannis used a 2012 reference to Marshawn Lynch for answering this question. He replied by saying, “I’m just here to not get fined.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo talks about the Bucks’ approach for Game 3
The Milwaukee Bucks have fought their way and taken down some big names to get to the NBA Finals. They took down the Miami Heat, and then they beat the heavy title favorites Brooklyn Nets in round 2. They then took down the Hawks in 6 games, despite the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo in Games 5 and 6.
While talking to the press, Giannis mentions what approach he wants his team to take for the upcoming contest. The 2x NBA MVP talks about how having fun is the foremost thing on the team’s mind. He does not want his team to succumb to the pressure of the Finals and just enjoy the game.

What Giannis wants for his team is easier said than done. It is impossible to not succumb to the pressure of a stage as big as the NBA Finals. However, as long as the team remembers their fundamentals and keeps playing their game, the Bucks have a chance to make a comeback.
