“Shaq wasn’t impressed by Dwyane Wade for having a terrible home”: Heat legend defends his bachelor lifestyle and having a disorganized house in his young years as wife Gabrielle Union watches on
Dwyane Wade and Shaq were possibly the most entertaining duo in Miami Heat basketball history. The duo retains some chemistry even today.
Shaq is one of the goofiest, most fun-filled, larger-than-life characters that we’ll ever see in public life. The man takes any and every opportunity to make the occasion a fun one.
This helps the Lakers legend get along with practically everyone he’s ever gone to work with. You can always bet on Shaq giving your crew a bit of comic relief. D-Wade definitely got a lot of Shaq love, especially after the former carried the latter to the 2006 championship.
Both of them have continued to maintain great relationships with each over the years. D-Wade has even joined ‘Inside the NBA’ on numerous occasions as a guest analyst.
Shaq called out Dwyane Wade for leaving his bachelor pad disorganized on his rookie deal
Dwyane Wade was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live with his wife Gabrielle Union in May this year. The couple was on the show to promote their book.
Kimmel loves asking his guests discomfiting questions to, and he probably had D-Wade on his hit list too. It certainly looked like it, judging from
“Yeah, so he’s talking about my first home that I ever owned in my life. 22 years old. So it wasn’t bad, Shaq was living in a $20 million house off the waters. I was living in Doral in a $500,000 house in the neighborhood.”
His wife and former movie star Gabrielle Union looked like she was bursting with some things to say at that point. Kimmel emboldened her to go on, so she said:
“I’d like to think….he’s like ‘It’s the first house’ like he dramatically improved thereafter… it did not. He took that bad taste and then carried it all the way through until really recently.”
“The place I met him at, we started calling it the Dorm Room. Because for a grown-as* man to live like a college freshman is a thing. A lot of black lacquer furniture, a lot of leather furniture, a massive fish tank with a lot of dead fish in it.”
