IPL is trying to bring in neutral commentators for IPL 2018
The next edition of the IPL is looking to incorporate the latest additions into the game with the DRS being one of the major topics of discussion.
It only seemed like yesterday that Lalit Modi kick started the glamorous league at a jam packed Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Ten years on, the IPL has seen tremendous highs as well as some terrible lows but is still going strong heading into it’s eleventh edition.
Before the tournament kicks off in April, there will be the mega auction that is expected to take place in January.

After a two year exile, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will come back into the fold and will take part in the mega auction.
Back in 2008, all the franchises took part in the mega auction which turned out to be an extremely exciting affair as the teams battled each other for the best players in the world.
While Dhoni became the most expensive player in 2008, Ben Stokes currently holds the tag for the highest ever paid player in IPL history. Surely someone will break Stoke’s record in 2018.
Another move by the BCCI is to bring in neutral commentators for all home series in the future.
This move intends to bring in more Indian commentators in domestic matches. The Board realizes that there are many players who want to foray into the commentary box and wish to give them the chance in domestic games.
With the IPL also being a fantastic platform for budding commentators, BCCI wishes to include some new people in addition to an increase in the number of neutral commentators.
Let’s see how it turns out!
