MS Dhoni breaks another record in T20s

Back when he first arrived on to the scene, MS Dhoni’s wicket keeping skills oscillated between adequate and good, as it was his power hitting that gave him the edge over other keepers in the country.

As the years went by, Dhoni worked on his keeping and has now developed into one of the best, if not the best, wicket keeper in the game today.

There is almost a customary stumping that Dhoni creates out of nothing in each match, as the likes of Chahal and Yadav gain a few wickets thanks to Mahi’s superb work behind the stumps.

His no-look run-outs have become a rage, as people all over the world try and imitate India’s number seven. So much so that, people want ICC to change their recent rule about ‘fake fielding’, as they feel that it will take a lot of spontaneity out of the game.

Meanwhile, Mahi continues to prove his critics wrong, as the veteran keeper has time and again proved why he is still the best man for the job in limited overs cricket.

After receiving much criticism for his batting performances earlier this year, Dhoni has hit back in style as he has already played a couple of brilliant innings in the ongoing limited over series against Sri Lanka.

His glove work continues to be exemplary, as the Ranchi man just recently broke another T20I record as a wicket keeper. Dhoni went past AB de Villiers for the most number of dismissals by a keeper in the T20 format.

Dhoni now has 74 dismissals to ABD’s 72 in T20s. The great South African is no longer a regular keeper, which is why he will not be able to win back his record any time soon.

And with Dhoni not slowing down any time soon, looks like this is one record that Mahi will have for a very long time!
