WATCH : Virat Kohli notches up his 34th ODI century
Another day, another century for Virat Kohli.
The Indian skipper looked in imperious touch, as he hardly broke a sweat en route to his 34th ODI century at Cape Town.
After being put into bat by South Africa, India lost Rohit Sharma in the opening over, as the Mumbai Indians skipper continued his horror run with the bat in South Africa.
The pressure is bound to increase on the opener, as the Indian vice-captain has had a terrible time with the bat on this tour. After failing to perform in tests, Rohit was expected to shine in coloured clothing.
Unfortunately for him, Rohit has not snapped out of his rut, prompting questions about his place in the side.
Scoring runs is not an issue for Kohli though, as the Indian skipper steered the innings and reached his three figure mark quite easily.
But while Kohli played fluently, the rest of the side could not muster much support after Dhawan’s well made 76.
After playing really well for his 76, Dhawan threw his wickets away just when he was looking good for a big century.
The likes of Rahane, Pandya, Dhoni and Kedar wasted their opportunity though, as they lost their wickets by playing very poor shots.
Kohli though went on his merry way, as he picked a quick double to bring up his century.
