WATCH : MS Dhoni shows off his football skills
It is no secret that MS Dhoni is a huge football fan. The legendary Indian cricketer used to be his school goal keeper, and wanted to pursue football as a career path in his life.
All that changed in the next few years, as Dhoni went on to become one the greatest cricketers the game has ever seen. The Indian legend will also go down as one of the finest skippers in history, as he is the only man to lead his team to all three ICC trophies.
Dhoni is one of the faces of Chennaiyin FC, and has often said that he wants to be part of the football revolution in the country.
“As all of you know, I began my sporting activities as a footballer and was a goalkeeper for my school and then shifted to cricket since we didn’t have a wicketkeeper in our team,” Dhoni told reporters on Monday.
“And as a far my association with Chennaiyin FC is concerned, I have always been a big fan of football and Manchester United and I follow English Premier League. It gives immense happiness to be a part of this team and I’m sure, with the kind of players we have in our ranks, we’ll make Chennaiyin FC a great side.”
Now ahead of the IPL, Dhoni was seen juggling a football and showing off some of his skills with the ball at the Wankhede stadium.
Dhoni’s CSK side were practicing ahead of the opening IPL match, and will take on Mumbai Indians on April 7th.
