Junior Dala to play for Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2018

According to the latest reports, South African pace sensation Junior Dala is all set to play for Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

Dala burst onto the International scene during India’s T20 series against South Africa wherein he bowled with express pace and was also get Virat Kohli’s wicket.

Dala also troubled Rohit Sharma and picked his wicket in all three matches. He picked 7 wickets in the series with an economy over 9.

He has been a consistent performer for the Titans as in 52 T20 matches; he has picked up 49 wickets with an average of 25.34 and at a strike rate of 8.24.

Dala went unsold in the IPL but later a lot of teams were linked with him, as replacements were being announced for the injured players.

However, the news is yet to be confirmed by the franchise. Also, it will be interesting to see which overseas player of Delhi has been injured this time.

Morris and Roy missed Delhi’s last game and either one of them could be ruled out of the tournament, however, we still await official confirmation from the Delhi Daredevils and the IPL.

Delhi Daredevils are not in the ideal position on the IPL points table, sitting at the bottom and have now seen Gambhir resign from captaincy.

Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as the new captain of the franchise.
