WATCH: Lorius Karius’ grave error gives Real Madrid the lead
After a cagey first half, wherein the footballing world united to express their concern for both Salah and Carvajal, the second half started on a pacey note.
Both Liverpool and Real Madrid seemed to be hungry for a win and were going all out for that 1st goal.
Real Madrid were building from the back, with Liverpool waiting to catch them off guard on a counter attack.
Isco was presented with a beautiful opportunity, but his shot hit the bar and the scores were still level.
However, a moment of madness from Karius meant that Real Madrid found themselves 1-0 up in the final at Kiev.
A harmless ball through the top of the Liverpool defence was collected calmly by Karius, who then tried to distribute it to one of his defenders. However, he was a little too casual with it and ended up not paying enough attention to that outstretched leg of Benzema.
Benzema was lurking and stuck out a foot. The ball hit his foot and went into that empty Liverpool net.

Match Situation
Real Madrid seemed to be in control of the game after that Karius error but Liverpool found this new zest in the middle and Mane helped them equalise.
Ever since, Liverpool have been playing with a new sense of vigour and are going all out for a win.
Gareth Bale has been introduced for Isco and just as I write this, Bale has gone onto score a wonder goal for Madrid.
