“It’s not good what you’ve done,” Ramos told Cristiano Ronaldo
The five-time Balon d’Or hinted at leaving Real Madrid in his post-match interview after the Champions League final.
Cristiano Ronaldo stirred controversy after suggesting that he could leave Real Madrid in the summer. The Portuguese forward finished as top goalscorer in the Champions League campaign, with 15 goals in 13 games.
Even when Ronaldo played a little below his standards in the Champions League final, the forward managed to be the centre of attraction in the headlines.
In the post-match interview, he suggested that he may look for a new club in the future, referring to Real Madrid in the past tense.
“Now to enjoy, and in the next few days I will give an answer to the fans that they are on my side, it was very nice to be in Madrid,” said Ronaldo.
“In the next few days I will give an answer, now we have to enjoy the moment, the future of any player is not important, we have made history,” Ronaldo added.
Ronaldo’s post-match comments, which he gave to beIN sports journalist, reportedly left the Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos furious. The Spanish defender told Ronaldo in the dressing room that he shouldn’t have talked about his future at this time.
“It’s not good what you’ve done, it was not the right moment to say it,” Ramos told Cristiano.

“You have to take a step back and we will help you. We are with you, but help yourself too,” the Real Madrid captain said to Ronaldo.
This may explain the reason Ronaldo apologised during the media interaction.
“A player’s personal things aren’t the most important thing now, it might have been taken out of context but maybe I shouldn’t have said what I said,” Real’s number seven said.
Various media houses in England and Spain have linked Ronaldo with a move back to Manchester United. Before Cristiano, Gareth Bale also hinted with a move away from Real Madrid due to lack of game time.
