Unai Emery wants Steven N’Zonzi at Arsenal
Arsenal are into a rebuilding phase with Arsene Wenger walking out and Unai Emery taking up the reigns of one of the biggest clubs in London.
Emery has a lot of work to do if he wants to take Arsenal to the next level in England and in Europe.
Emery has always identified the positions that need reinforcements at Arsenal and he is working on getting those deals done through the transfer window.
One such position in that of the defensive midfielder and Emery has already identified his top target and it is former Sevilla player N’Zonzi.
Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo claims that N’Zonzi has become Umery’s top target for the time being as he wants to solve the defensive midfielder situation at Arsenal.
N’Zonzi has been linked with Arsenal a lot of times in the past but the move didn’t really go through. But now with Emery at the club and his history with N’Zonzi, the rumour mill suggests that Emery’s relationship with N’Zonzi could make him move to Emirates.
However, Sevilla boss Pablo Machin believes that N’Zonzi will stay put this season despite all the rumours about his transfer.
“I think he has been here for many years and rumours have always been heard,” he told reporters.
“It’s clear that he is an excellent footballer and what I want is to get the most out of him.
“I trust that he can continue being a Sevilla player until the end of his contract.” he added.
Do Arsenal fans want to see N’Zonzi at Arsenal?
