“The Pain Issue is Improving for Lonzo Ball”: Bulls HC Billy Donovan Comes Out With Lukewarm Statement on 25-Year-Old’s Timeline
Lonzo Ball’s situation has been more than a bit topsy-turvy since all the way back last season. He initially went down with what was said to be a minor injury, before things got a lot worse, really fast.
And now, after two surgeries on his injured knee, there is still no concrete timeline for the man’s return to an NBA court.
What’s worse is, the Chicago Bulls have been very shy about divulging any new information on the matter, leaving quite the air of mystery on the whole situation. But fortunately, that changed very recently during Billy Donovan’s press conference.
Let’s get into it, shall we?
Billy Donovan admits that things are still going pretty slowly with Lonzo Ball
At this point, not even doctors know what’s the exact injury Lonzo Ball has been suffering. But whatever it is, it’s nowhere close to healing just yet, as Billy Donovan divulged.
Take a look at his thoughts in the tweet below.
Billy Donovan on Lonzo Ball: It’s been really slow. He’s working through more and more but we’re not close to running or cutting or contact. Said the pain issue is still improving but not in clear.

Admittedly, that doesn’t look very good. However, the pain does seem to be going down, which is a massive thing to consider.
Frankly, it doesn’t seem like the man will be back anytime before March.
But, at this point, everyone just wants to make sure he is indeed able to make it back to the court at all.
Take all the time you need, Lonzo Ball.
What about LaMelo Ball?
In case you may not have been aware, LaMelo Ball has been out with an injury too at this point in time. And it isn’t looking particularly encouraging either.
During this past preseason, Ball injured his left ankle in a very scary-looking incident, after stepping on another player’s foot.
He initially missed some significant time due to this. And then, after just his second game back, he injured it once again.
The Hornets, true to their incompetent nature, have failed to come out with a timeline of any sort on the matter. However, most experts speculate that he should be healthy enough to play sometime in December.
