‘Sexist’ Shaquille O’Neal, Who Paid Shaunie O’Neal $300,000 to Not Work, Claims Nobody In the WNBA Could Beat Him 1-on-1
In 1992, the Orlando Magic drafted one of the most dominant players in the NBA. Shaquille O’Neal was a certifiable beast in the league.
His ability to dominate the paint and his huge frame and physique made him a match-up nightmare. It’s because of these attributes that he is one of the greatest of all time.
During an interview, Shaq was asked if anyone in the WNBA could face him one-on-one. Keeping his accomplishments in mind, Diesel confidently answered with a strong “No”.
Shaquille O’Neal strongly believes that no one in the WNBA can best him in a one-on-one match
Over the years, the WNBA has grown into the best league in women’s basketball. This is down to the confidence and skill that the modern-day WNBA player has in their game.
However, the WNBA and the NBA are still miles apart. The skill level is not even comparable, and players, both current and former alike know it. Just ask Shaquille O’Neal, who was asked if anyone in the WNBA could beat him one-on-one. How did Shaq respond? Simple, his answer was “No”.
It’s important to note that Diesel isn’t trying to slight women’s basketball. He is just stating facts, there are very few NBA All-Stars, let alone WNBA stars that could stop a prime Shaq one-on-one.
Although a case could be made when discussing today’s Shaq. But, given how jacked he is looking and the time he puts into fitness nowadays, it would still be a tough match.
Shaq has been a ‘sexist’ for a long time
Years after his retirement, Shaquille O’Neal didn’t exactly look like a former NBA superstar. However, The Big Aristotle has been working out and looks jacked in most of his photos.
Why the sudden focus on fitness? Well, Shaq wants to become “s*x symbol”.
However, the man has failed to keep himself away from being criticized as a ‘sexist’. His comment disrespecting everyone in WNBA is just him doubling down on his last controversy as a partial man who paid his ex-wife $300,000 for not working while they were married.
