Why is Stephen Curry Not Playing Tonight vs the Jazz?
The Golden State Warriors have made their way to Salt Lake City as they face the Utah Jazz tonight. Having lost their last game to the short-handed Indiana Pacers, the Warriors would be looking to set the record straight. However, things wouldn’t be as easy as it seems, as they would be operating without their leader Stephen Curry.
So far this season, Steph has been playing brilliant basketball. He’s averaging 30 points, 6.6 rebounds, seven assists, and a steal in the 23 games he’s played. Curry has been putting up numbers that beat the ones he’d put up in his unanimous MVP season.
With all the responsibilities on his shoulder, Steph has led the team to a 13-12 record so far. However, with the team in Utah, fans are wondering why Steph is not playing tonight.
Stephen Curry is OUT with an ankle soreness
The Warriors played the Houston Rockets last week. It was the second night of a back-to-back after just having played the Bulls. On one of the plays where Curry was driving to the hoop, he appeared to have tweaked his ankle.
Even though Steph played against the Pacers in the next game, there was a level of discomfort which was easily noticeable. The Warriors decided not to take any chances and sit Curry out for the one-game road trip to Salt Lake City.
Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins will all miss tomorrow’s Warriors’ game in Utah. Curry left ankle soreness, Green left hip tightness, Wiggins right adductor strain. James Wiseman is with team and available.

Along with Steph, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins would also be sitting this contest out.
This puts a lot of pressure on Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole, as the Warriors would look to secure their third road-win of the season.
