Nico Rosberg makes judgement of final few races of Sebastian Vettel

Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel have been among the most successful F1 drivers to come out of Germany. Though, no doubt, Michael Schumacher’s legacy eclipses both of them.

But with their skillset, the two drivers have gained a massive fan following. Now, both compatriots have retired from the sport. It has been over six years in Rosberg’s case, while Vettel just left the paddock.

Vettel, in his last couple of years in F1, represented Aston Martin, a team which was nowhere near the level of its former two teams, where he got immense success. Yet, he performed brilliantly for them, opines Rosberg.

Nico Rosberg makes a verdict on Sebastian Vettel’s last races

The German race driver talks about the last few races by Vettel once the latter announced his retirement. According to Rosberg, Vettel was at his absolute best as he felt liberated.

“In the last races, it seemed like he was liberated, and he drove like in his best period. He drove brilliant races and showed incredible things,” said Rosberg to Sport1.

Rosberg cites Vettel’s performances at the US and Brazilian Grand Prix races. He claims that even though Aston Martin was highly slow, the four-time world champion brought in impressive results.

Sebastian Vettel announces his return

With his voluntary exit from F1, a considerable section of F1 fans were overwhelmed by his exit. Even Lewis hamilton was in disbelief during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix press conference that this was the end of Vettel’s time in F1.

He insisted that, like Fernando Alonso, Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen, even Vettel will have his second innings in the sport. But the German is adamant that he will never return to a driver’s role.

However, he accepted that he would return to F1 in another role. Many even believe that Vettel can take the mantle from Helmut Marko as an adviser to Red Bull and run the show.

As of now, Vettel is unlikely to return to the sport for the foreseeable future. He intends to spend time with his family and make up for all the lost time with them due to the hectic F1 schedule.
