Following $23 Million Golfer’s Tragic Plane Crash, Michael Jordan Avoided Sister’s Concerns For His Safety
Michael Jordan is perhaps the richest athlete on planet earth. With a net worth of $2.2 billion, His Airness has got it all. His numerous sponsorships, endorsements, business dealings, and more have put him in the position he is in today. MJ has all the resources and funds he needs to live a lavish life.
Although, along with this lifestyle have come many concerns from his family members regarding his safety. However, Jordan had shown a tendency to avoid the same.
Michael Jordan avoided his sister’s concerns regarding the dangers of owning a private jet
Michael Jordan is a man who has the wealth to do whatever he pleases. Given how hard he has worked, it cannot be denied that he deserves it. But, there are times when certain aspects of his wealth raise worries among his family members.
Like his sister, who, as revealed in Roland Lazenby’s book Michael Jordan: The Life was concerned about MJ’s use of a private jet. An excerpt from the book covers how Jordan’s sister was worried about his flights. Especially after news came out regarding the passing of the then $23 million worth golfer, Payne Stewart in a plane crash.
“Later that year, golfer Payne Stewart died in a plane crash, not long after winning the US Open, leading Sis to think about how much time her brother spent zipping around the globe in his private jet. She phoned and left a message that she was concerned about him and wanted to know if he was OK. He sent a message through his mother that he was fine. He didn’t speak to her personally, she later suggested, because ‘Michael has a tendency to run from things he does not want to face, and his wealth affords him the opportunity to do that in many ways.'”

Unfortunately for His Airness’ sister, MJ does not wish to discuss such matters. He would much rather live life to the fullest and see what happens.
Much of Jordan’s lavish lifestyle can be attributed to the $1.3 billion he earned from his sneakers
Michael Jordan has had a 38-year relationship with Nike. One that had been extremely fruitful for him. Why? Because over the years, his Air Jordan brand has netted him a staggering $1.3 billion.
Since 1984, Michael Jordan has been paid over $1.3 Billion by Nike — making their partnership the richest athlete endorsement in the history of sports.
The most interesting part?
It almost didn’t happen.

Safe to say Jordan’s partnership with Nike has been more than fruitful. It has been historic and has changed the business of sports entirely.
