“The Knicks Were Overmatched Against Luka Doncic”: Skip Bayless Shockingly Rates the Mavs MVP’s 60/21/10 Unreal Performance an 8
0-13,884. That was the record of teams in the last 20 seasons when trailing by at least 9 points with 35 or fewer seconds remaining. Well, that was the record before the miracle Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks pulled off last night.
Playing in front of 20,000+ supporters at the American Airlines Center, the Texas-based franchise managed to unimaginably record a shocking come-from-the-back victory. And it was possible only because of the greatness of Doncic.
The Slovenian MVP recorded one of the greatest performances in NBA history. Playing 47:09 minutes, the 3-time All-Star put up 60 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists while shooting 67.7% from the field. By doing so, the youngster helped Jason Kidd’s boys in clinching an amazing 126-121 OT win.

Skip Bayless gives Luka Doncic an 8 for his historic triple-double
Despite being the first player in the history of the league to put up a 60/20/10 performance, Skip Bayless only rated Doncic’s performance an 8.
In the recent-most episode of “UNDISPUTED”, the 71-year-old would take away credits from Luka for putting up a monstrous stat-line against a weaker NYK squad.
“I’ll go to an 8 on the impressive scale. We have to take into account the opposition, which was an embarrassment. The Knicks were overmatched against Luka,” Skip said.
Luka Dončić notched the first ever 60-point, 21-rebound, 10 assist triple-double in history:

Quite contrary to what Bayless believed, Shannon Sharpe couldn’t stop raving about the 6-foot-7 guard. Calling it one of the most impressive things he’s ever seen in the NBA, the former NFL star exclaimed:
“If I had one thousand tongues, I couldn’t say how impressive this was enough. We’ve never seen anything like it. It was unbelievable.”
“Luka Dončić’s 60-point triple-double was the most impressive thing I’ve seen on an NBA court.”

Luka’s incredible stats in the 2022-2023 season
Luka Doncic has single-handedly been carrying the Mavs. After taking the franchise to its first conference finals appearance in 10 years, Doncic is now leading the franchise to the 6th best record in the West.
Having missed only 2 games in this campaign, the former ROY has been putting up a spectacular 33.6 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game.
With only 2 games behind the #3 Memphis Grizzlies, Doncic will need to keep leading the team by putting up game-winning performances.
