McLaren staff humiliated by 25p chocolate bars provided in return of their hard work
McLaren find themselves in shambles with respect to the inner workings of the team, as their staff have been humiliated by the 25p chocolate bars that were ‘gifted’ to them as a sign of their hard work.
The staff have revealed how tough the working conditions are and how the management is clueless about how the team should function.
The work environment is pretty toxic and the staff has been infuriated by this latest gesture.
“We have been working all hours of the day, sweating blood, and they give us 25p Freddo bars.
“The management hand them to the supervisors to divide them out to employees in their team. Strictly one each.” an anonymous employee told Sportsmail.
Also, the chocolate bars are handed out only if the package is produced correctly in a very short span of time.
“The Freddos are handed out when a package is produced on a tight schedule.
“We all worked 24/7 to meet the deadline. We got it done in time. So a week later a Freddo was handed out to all staff involved as “a bonus”. Supervisors are embarrassed to hand them out.
“We also got a Freddo last year after building the car.” the infuriated employee said.
News of this revolt comes after a report that had conceded that the staff was looking to get in touch with former McLaren team principal about the tough working environment and the clueless team management.
With McLaren already off pace despite their much hyped switch from Honda to Renault. these off-track stories will only make the team environment worse.
