Where will Bronny James go to College? When Can LeBron James’ Son Get Drafted?

Bronny James has to be the most hyped and anticipated high school athlete at the moment. Leave basketball, he is easily the biggest high school name in any sports category. LeBron’s oldest son has become a global personality with fans around the world following his growth.

In his last year of high school, there is a lot of anticipation for what Bronny will do going forward. His father, LeBron James, chose to head straight to the NBA. Bronny, however, cannot do that owing to the NBA regulations for the draft class.

Instead, he will have the option of either playing for a college team or heading to the G-League. At the moment, there are multiple offers for the 18-year-old but which one will he opt for?

Which college will Bronny James go to?

At the moment, Bronny’s talent is being desired by at least 9 colleges. With Bronny in the top 50 recruits remaining, the time for him to sign with a college is now ripe. Luckily, the offers highlight that he is being seen as a valuable asset.

 The teams that have offered to sign Bronny are USC, Duke, Memphis, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, and North Carolina. 

At the moment, Ohio State and USC are being seen as the top spots to land the talented young man. In fact, Bronny even visited Ohio State with LeBron James and Savannah to watch a football game. Later, he also posted a picture of himself in the Buckeye colors.

However, LeBron and Bronny have both clarified that the Sierra Canyon senior remains undecided at the moment. But with the date to accept an offer shrinking quickly, Bronny will likely reveal his choice of college, if he chooses to go to college, in the coming weeks.

When will LeBron James’ son become draft eligible?

NBA rules suggest that any player is draft-eligible after they have turned 19 and graduated from school a year before. This makes Bronny eligible for the 2024 draft class.

LeBron, who has openly stated his desire to play with Bronny, is undeniably aging. Although his current stats and athleticism are freakish, it will be impossible for him to maintain this level of play for another 3-4 seasons.

The most likely outcome, going by LeBron’s plan of action, is that Bronny will attend college for a year or two and then enter the draft. This way, he can gain much-needed college ball experience and still make it in time to play with the 6ft 9″ living legend.
