Jimmy Broadbent Mocks Max Verstappen With This Rick Astley’s Legendary Song
Max Verstappen was furious after his Le Mans virtual was spoilt with regular disconnections. The Dutchman and his team redline abandoned the race after he decided to leave the race dramatically while aggressively pressing the escape button.
This happened after Verstappen was informed by his team manager that the lost lap due to the disconnection wouldn’t be reinstated. Thus, leaving him furious.
On the live stream, Verstappen gave harsh feedback to the hosts. He called them incompetent and responsible for ruining his five months of hard work to prepare for this race.

Jimmy Broadbent takes a dig at Max Verstappen
Jimmy Broadbent was also racing in virtual 24 hours Le Mans and was also affected by the constant interruptions in the server. However, unlike Verstappen, he didn’t quit the race.
In response, the Briton took the opportunity to mock the F1 world champion using a legendary Rick Astley song. He captioned his tweet: “Omg I can’t believe that Max said this,” with a shortened link to the YouTube video.

With this video, he meant to say that Verstappen left the whole race after facing a problem which everyone was dealing with and also shouting that he’ll never race in the event ever again. This attitude is in absolute contrast to his usual never giving up belief.
Though, Verstappen is also right in his decision to leave the race. If something he thought was going against him with no fault, it’s better to leave than extend the ordeal.
Will win more likely in Vegas
The two-time world champion was highly outraged by his team’s misfortune in the game. The Dutchman, in absolute anger, gave an aggressive suggestion of telling Le Mans to improve their organizing.
He claims that this platform he claims it’s not going to work further. He also took a jibe at the organizers by saying he is likelier to win in a Las Vegas casino than in virtual Le Mans.
Next year, Verstappen is unlikely to return for this race, as he said he’ll never come for this event. Surely, Verstappen can always look to overlook a virtual event amidst his F1 commitments.
