Stephen Curry reveals to Bob Myers the details of his texts to Kevin Durant

Stephen Curry was the latest guest on the ‘Lead By Example’ podcast. The podcast is hosted by none other than Golden State General Manager Bob Myers. Bob Myers was the brains behind the Durant trade and the “Death line-up” Warriors.

During the interview, Stephen revealed exclusive details of his texts to Durant. Steph said, “I told Kevin that whether I win the MVP or he does, I will be sitting in the front row”.

Bob also asked Stephen about his feelings when the trade rumors about Durant hit the Warrior’s locker room. Steph calmly responded that “ I am used to such situations. I have been in such situations before“.

The recruitment of Kevin Durant to the Warriors

The recruitment of Kevin Durant started right after the game 7 loss to Lebron and the Cavaliers. With Draymond Green heading the recruitment duties.

It is now being made apparent that even players like Curry and Klay played a role. Getting the ‘Slim Reaper’ to the Bay was no easy task.

Sacrifices by the ‘Chef’ proved to be fruitful as the Warriors got themselves back-to-back championships. Though the relationship between the Warriors and Kevin would worsen over time. And ended up with a trade request out of the Bay, they still have plenty to talk about.

With the warriors having just won their 4th title with Curry, the future may possibly hold more silverware for the franchise as the Chef isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
