Tendulkar on Dhoni about WC 2019: It is all up to what Dhoni thinks
Although his batting has been on a wane in the recent times, Dhoni has showed time and again that he has still a lot of cricket left in him. In the recently concluded IPL, Dhoni bounced back with the bat and was at his prime.
His tactical decisions as a Captain and scintillating finishes ensured that Chennai Super Kings became the champions of the league. After reaching England, there has been another noticeable rough patch that Dhoni is going through and the critics have again raised their heads again.
Recently, when Sachin Tendulkar was asked whether or not Dhoni will last till the World Cup in an interview to The Mumbai Mirror, Tendulkar said, “World Cup?, Well it is all up to what he (Dhoni) thinks. I don’t know what are the plans of the captain (Virat Kohli) and coach (Ravi Shastri). We are almost a year away for the World Cup, so there is a lot of time.”

Like many us, even Tendulkar found it hard to fathom the changes in the side.
“If you have seen the recent three ODIs and Twenty20 International games, there were changes in the team that had nothing to do with the form. There could be a number of challenges for a player – some could be fitness challenges and some could be form challenges. I would just wait and watch,” the master blaster rested his case.
Dhoni is such a great cricketer and has had so much experience that he is very handy to have in the team. With the team going through transition, it is always nice to have a seasoned bloke like him in the team. Even if Dhoni does not score many runs as he used to, he is a vital cog in the Indian team.
