Manchester United interested in signing Ante Rebic

Croatia were undoubtedly the FIFA World Cup’s surprise package. The Adriatic country made her way into the final in Russia by claiming a few heavy scalps. They were humbled 4-2 in the finals by France, but made a heroic surge to the finals.

All of the players stood out and have been on the radars of major European clubs following a sensational international tournament. Two of them are Ivan Perisic and Ante Rebic from Inter Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt respectively. The midfield duo has been linked with Manchester United.

The Red Devils are looking to re-inforce their right flank. Anthony Martial is set to leave the club while Juan Mata has never been Mourinho’s preferred choice. Ante Rebic is the player who has been identified as the one who has the potential to deliver.

The 24 year old was instrumental as Croatia finished second and scored a cracker in their victory over Argentina. The former Fiorentina midfielder had cost the Frankfurt based team a fee of £1.5 million. In less than a year, his value has risen to an estimated £44 million.

As far as his transfer is concerned to United, it is being claimed that the Red Devils have also made an official approach, as per Metro UK. He could be a fantastic addition to the Premier League outfit.

His attacking work rate and shot power are two traits which stand out. This makes him versatile enough to play as a right winger as well as a second striker.

Manchester United in the past few weeks faced competition from Arsenal and Bayern Munich, but the two clubs have backed out seemingly. The Red Devils now have daylight in front of them if they are to sign Rebic.

Ante Rebic is currently on holiday following his exploits on national level. On the other hand, Manchester United are in the United States for pre-season training and matches. They have already made three transfers.
