WATCH: Max Verstappen furious with Renault engine after Hungarian GP DNF
Max Verstappen would have hoped for a strong display in Hungary after a few issues in the previous few races, but his race came to a pre-mature end due to a power loss whilst he was 5th on the grid.
Verstappen was clearly unhappy with the engine and did not hold back in venting out his frustration about it.
Verstappen on radio: “Can I not just keep going? I don’t care if this fing engine blows up… What a fing joke, all the f***ing time. Honestly. Argh!”
Renault’s reliability has come under severe scrutinity this year, especially in the last few races, where Red Bull drivers have been plagued by DNFs.
Clearly the already strained relationship between Red Bull and Renault is not going to get any better because of this.
Verstappen is out. VSC deployed. He has a proper radio vent: “Can I not just keep going? I don’t care if this f***ing engine blows up… What a f***ing joke, all the f***ing time. Honestly. Argh!” #F1

Verstappen will now lose to lead to his teammate in the driver’s championship and would be devastated by his 6th DNF this year.
Red Bull will need to get into a room with Renault, get back to the drawing board and clear out any differences that the two entities might have.
Do you think there is a lack of motivation on Renault’s part, as they won’t be partnering Red Bull from next season on?
‘What a f*#@!cking joke!’ 🤬🤬
