Manchester United may sign two players on transfer deadline
According to Sky, Jerome Boateng has not rejected the United offer, whereas the club is eyeing another bid for Harry Maguire after an initial £60m was turned down.
Manchester United are late comers into the summer’s transfer window. Jose Mourinho is looking to assert his authority on Manchester United by signing a central defender and right winger. While there are concrete deals in place, just pending agreements for defenders, nothing has been done to land an attacking player to Jose’s discontent.
United are looking to wrap up two deals on transfer deadline day. The Red Devils have been linked with transfers for two defenders, namely Harry Maguire and Jerome Boateng.
They had offers rebuffed for the likes of Toby Aldeweireld and Raphael Varane. Yerry Mina is also a target, Earlier, it was claimed that Boateng had rejected the opportunity to play for United, but Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that a move is still on the cards.
Told reports that Jerome Boateng turned down a move to Man United for football reasons are wide of the mark. Boateng wants to move to United and Jose Mourinho wants to sign him. Maguire also still hoping United will sign him. One source says £60m bid already turned down.

Amongst Manchester United’s targets for a central defender, Jerome Boateng wants to leave Bayern Munich to play for the Red Devils. The German defender has mutual desire with Jose Mourinho who does not mind having Boateng at his disposal.
There is no concrete deal in place with just around 24 hours left for the shutdown of the transfer window. However, the Red Devils have sent representatives to meet with Boateng’s agent to quickly make a move.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho has a plan in his head of signing Harry Maguire as the second centre half. Meanwhile, the Englishman also has hopes that the Old Trafford club will come and get him from the outskirts of London.
Sky Sports has even reported that a late bid from Manchester United worth 60 million pounds got turned down by Leicester City. Claude Puel is set to block a move for Maguire, but the Foxes don’t want another Mahrez case where the player refuses to play for the club.
Irrespective of one or two defenders signing on deadline day, there is a huge chance of the newcomer missing the opening fixture against Leicester City. He would not have participated in a single training season with his new club and the Premier League’s curtain raiser will be an early affair to be part of.
