“Dillon Brooks’ Act is Getting OLD”: LeBron James Nemesis Roasts Grizzlies Guard For Coming Short On His Challenge For Lakers Legend
Memphis Grizzlies guard-forward Dillon Brooks turned a lot of heads in the first round of the Playoffs with the Los Angeles Lakers. Not for his performances particularly, but for his challenge to LeBron James and the Lakers after his team made a comeback in the series.
In a presser after Game 2, Brooks held no bars in belittling James, calling him old and incapable of putting fear in him, unlike some other players in the league.
Fast forward to Game 3 in LA, when LeBron had then game-high 12 points, along with 5 rebounds and 2 steals with 3 minutes remaining in the second quarter, the Canadian guard was 1/11 from the field.
And Skip Bayless could not resist but blast the 27-year-old for trolling The King.

The 71-year-old Fox Sports 1 analyst might be one of the biggest haters of the Lakers’ 19x All-Star, but he came to his defense tonight when James was giving the game to Brooks as he wanted and Brooks in return could not get a bucket to save his life.

The man’s “act” of being a tough player was also put in question by the veteran analyst. “Dillon Brooks is 1 for 11. His act is getting OLD,” Skip said in another Tweet.

Brooks was also a reason the Grizzlies were unable to keep themselves in competition against the Warriors in the 2022 Playoffs. As decent as he was on defense, the man was awful on offense, shooting under 35% after Ja Morant’s injury.
Brooks wanted to duck the smoke quite bad
We all knew right away that Dillon Brooks didn’t have it in him to stop either James or the Lakers from winning the series. And his call-out was just to see if it can disrupt things in Lakers camp.
Brooks was so afraid of the moment as his shots were not falling and in his failure to stop James from making his shots that he intentionally hit the 38-year-old in the groin area and got himself a flagrant 2 and an automatic ejection.
