“Donovan Mitchell Wants to go to New York”: Insider Claims Cavaliers Guard Already Wants a Move to Knicks
Donovan Mitchell just had one nightmare of a post-season after doing quite well in leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 51-31 finish in the season and the 4th seed in the East.
They matched up with the team which was rumored to be his favorite destination before the Utah Jazz traded him to the Cavaliers — the New York Knicks.
The Knicks had got Jalen Brunson from the Dallas Mavericks and led by their new point guard and forward Julius Randle, the 5th seed of the East were sure of upsetting the Cavs.
They did it in 5 games too. And it hasn’t even been a week since the series ended, and there are rumors suggesting that Mitchell would want to take his talents to New York.
Donovan Mitchell wants to be a Knick
According to Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, Donovan Mitchell, after completing the remaining two years of his contract, is contemplating his move to the Knicks.
“From everyone I’ve talked to, he [Donovan Mitchell] wants to go to New York,” said Lloyd on the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show.

Now for the Cavaliers’ management, after their first-round exit, it should be abundantly clear that this big four of Spida, Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley is not going to work.
Garland has shown he can be an All-Star guard who can carry a team and be a second fiddle as well. So, they must keep him and deal away the man who is already thinking about his choices in the future.
