Anthony Davis and LeBron James Become the Frist NBA Duo to Get 3 or More Blocks With a 20/10/4 Performance in a Playoff Game
Anthony Davis and LeBron James would have to give all they got against the Golden State Warriors if they want to win another championship with the Lakers. That’s what they did on Tuesday when they traveled to Chase Center for Game 1. They broke records.
It was AD who got the better of everything that LeBron and the Warriors team had to offer at the Chase Center. The Lakers big man had 30 points, 23 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 blocks in the 117-112 win. He became only the 5th Lakers player to put up such numbers in the Playoffs.
But it was the two of them who made a unique record after combining for 52 points, gathering an atrocious 34 boards, and making 9 assists to top off their 7 spikes in the game.
Anthony Davis and LeBron James become the first duo to put up 20-10-4 along with 3 blocks in a playoff game
According to a revelation by ESPN, Davis and LeBron’s effort Tuesday night to win Game 1 against the Warriors on the road, has made them the only duo in the NBA to have 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 or more blocks since blocks became an official stat in 1973-74 season.
‘ESPN Stats & Info’ came up with a 20-10-5 stat after the game but the James was voided off an assist.

It was also the playoff game where a team had 3 players making over 6 3-pointers each. It was the Warriors. And Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole were the players to do it.
However, the Davis and James takeover in San Francisco did not let them run away with this one.
The Lakers had all the answers for the Warriors in Game 1
James and Davis did dominate the game through and through, but other Purple and Gold players did their job in the best possible manner too. Even Troy Brown Jr. scored an important 3 in the close game.
And when the Warriors were closing in late in the game with a 14-0 run, D’Angelo Russell broke that run with a crucial bucket to send the Lakers 114-112 up. He had 19 points in the game with 6 dimes.
Dennis Schroder who also had 19 points gathered the rebound after Poole missed a blatant 3-point attempt to go up with 10 seconds remaining and then iced the game with his 2 clutch free throws.
Both he and Jarred Vanderbilt were the ones to disrupt Curry throughout the game.
