Is Joel Embiid Playing Tonight vs Celtics? Sixers Issue Injury Report for Game 3
The Philadelphia 76ers, after splitting the series in Boston, are now headed back home. Joel Embiid, after missing two games, returned to the floor for Game 2 against Jayson Tatum and co. However, his return didn’t bring the results the Sixers would have hoped for, as the Celtics handed them a 34-point beat down.
Joel didn’t attempt many shots in the game, shooting 4 of 9 from the field. He finished the game with 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 blocks. James Harden couldn’t bring the performance he had in Game 1, which got a big reaction from Charles Barkley.
Headed back home, the fans wonder whether Joel Embiid will play in Game 3?
Joel Embiid is listed as Questionable for Game 3
During Game 3 of the Nets-Sixers series, Joel Embiid seemed to hurt his knee. Many concluded that he had a Grade 1 LCL sprain. However, as the Sixers-Celtics series was about to start, people wondered whether it’s more serious than what was initially thought.
However, the recently crowned MVP did suit up for Game 2. He played some 26 minutes, and during that time, he showed us his presence on the defensive end. Heading into Game 3, we’re still not sure about his status. According to the latest injury report, Joel Embiid is listed as questionable for Game 3.
We will get an exact confirmation on his status a bit closer to the game time. However, seeing as he played in Game 2 with a knee brace, Embiid might do the same tonight.
