In the first practice session of the Miami Grand Prix, Haas F1 driver Nico Hulkenberg spun and crashed into the barriers triggering a Red Flag. He was coming out of Turn 3 when he lost grip and spun backward into the wall.
It was just over 25 minutes when the session was brought to a pause. Following the crash, Hulkenberg said, “**** I lost it.”
This was the first time that Hulkenberg drove on the Miami GP track having rejoined the F1 grid in the 2023 season. Although a few minutes before crashing, Hulkenberg had set the fastest lap getting a huge cheer from the team’s home crowd.

Why did Nico Hulkenberg spin at the Miami GP track?
This is only the second time that the Miami GP is holding an F1 race. For Hulkenberg, it was the first time he was out racing at the Miami International Autodrome.
With sector 1 presenting complex and twisty turns with S-shaped bends, it becomes a little tough for the drivers. To prevent any kind of mishap the drivers need to pick a racing line and stick to it. Even a little mistake could lead the cars into losing grip of the track. The German seems to have gone off the racing line which led him into crashing into the barriers.
With Hulkenberg, Haas would be trying to make the most out of the practice session by collecting data through Kevin Magnussen.
