“Say Goodbye To Roscoe”: When Sergio Perez Kidnapped Lewis Hamilton’s Dog
During the 2015 British GP weekend, then Force India racer Sergio Perez decided to play a prank with Lewis Hamilton. The Mexican tweeted a picture of Roscoe sitting in his car and tagged the Mercedes driver. Perez joked, “Lewis Hamilton, say goodbye to Roscoe jaja!”

The two drivers were pretty good friends back then, so maybe Hamilton wouldn’t have minded the Mexican hanging around with his pal. But Twitter didn’t let it go easily.
F1 fans react to Sergio Perez’s prank
Sergio Perez’s kidnapping of Lewis Hamilton’s dog, Roscoe, in 2015 slid under the radar of F1 fans. However, over the years, the driver’s old tweets have resurfaced, giving F1 fans a hearty laugh at the Mexican racer’s prank.
A Twitter user named ‘soy33lago’ retweeted the image and couldn’t believe Checo’s prank on the 7x champion. He wrote, “And no one ever told me Checo kidnapped Roscoe?”

Fans were also shocked at how close the two drivers were at one point. Another user, ‘gaslygirI’, wrote, “Bringing this back because I love them so much!” Another fan wrote, “Why am I now seeing this? These two were close like that huh!” With Red Bull and Mercedes drifting further apart, it’s unlikely that we’ll see Perez playing with Hamilton’s pet soon.
How much money does Roscoe Hamilton make?
Unlike other pets, Lewis Hamilton’s dog Roscoe has a special place. The vegan bulldog is a mascot for the 7x world champion. It’s not uncommon to see the dog being trailed at race tracks with paparazzi and photographers waiting to take a click.
Hamilton keeps posting pictures of his pet. Nevertheless, the dog has its own Instagram account, run by the Mercedes star obviously, which has over 750K followers.

Due to his popularity, Roscoe has charmed brands and is now a legitimate star. The dog is part of a modeling agency and has starred in an ad for the delivery service ‘Zapp’. Hamilton claims Roscoe earns around $700 per day from shoots.
Hamilton himself is a shareholder in the app. The Briton also announced his involvement with the NFL team Denver Broncos with a picture of his dog. The bulldog was even seen sporting Broncos colors and logos.
