“For me, he is the all-time best”- Mick Schumacher on Lewis Hamilton Vs Michael Schumacher GOAT debate
“For me, he is the all-time best”- Mick Schumacher on Lewis Hamilton Vs Michael Schumacher goat debate, says comparisons don’t bother.
Mick Schumacher has finally managed to follow his father’s footsteps by entering into Formula 1 and taking over the legacy of his family name, while also earning a reputation by winning the Formula 2 championship.
While the younger Schumacher enters into the sport, it is natural that there are going to be questions asked about his father and Lewis Hamilton, with latter slowly overtaking all his records.
For the new Haas driver, the whispers of comparisons by media don’t bother him, and despite him admiring Hamilton, for him, the greatest of all time is his father.
“I’m ok with all that; all the questions and comparisons with my father do not bother me. Mick said in an interview with Bild. “For me, he is the all-time best in the sport, to which he has given his all. I don’t see why I should disregard that.”
Mick was the only one who passed on his father’s helmet to Hamilton after the Briton matched his father’s F1 record of 91 career wins in Formula 1.
F1 Debut will be a special moment
Schumacher’s F1 debut is being anticipated for the past two years at least, and finally, he will be driving for Haas along with Nikita Mazepin and the German feels that it is going to be something special.
“It will generally be a very special moment. It will certainly be a very moving moment, but I want to stay focused on my objectives, my races and the work with the team,” he said.
Schumacher has been backed by Ferrari in recent years, and view a promising prospect in him, but before that, they are planning to let him grow for two years in Haas before he becomes ready for his big move.
