Accused of Paying $500 for ‘Strip Club Negotiations,’ Dennis Rodman Once Ruined a Marriage With His Promiscuity

Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman had a crazy life both on and off the court. A 5-time NBA champ, Rodman lived an expansive lifestyle, was a spendthrift, and frequented Chicago’s wealth of nightclubs and strip clubs. According to his book, “I Should Be Dead By Now,” the gifted defender once handed out $500 notes to two women outside a strip club. It was also verified by TMZ.

What’s more, another incident involved Rodman joining a group of women who were having a bachelorette party. The Bulls legend revealed a promiscuous exchange and claimed that he wasn’t sure if the bride actually went through with the wedding.

Dennis Rodman once possibly ruined a marriage by crashing a bachelorette party

Easily one of the most memorable stars to ever play in the NBA, Rodman had innumerable off-court issues that affected his career. Always a “party animal” Rodman never changed his lifestyle and ended up blowing away most of his net worth on his lifestyle.

According to his book, once on a night out in Chicago, Rodman came across a group of women who were having a bachelorette party. Staying true to his reputation, he ended up buying drinks for the group and revealed that he “hooked up” with multiple women.

Eventually, it was the bride who ended up hitting on Dennis Rodman. The Bulls legend claimed that one of the bridesmaids was the groom’s sister.

He claimed that after the incident, he was not even sure if the to-be bride ended up going through with the marriage. Rodman said in his book that he was sure if the marriage did happen, the bride’s sister-in-law “owned her” for as long as it lasted:

I’ve always had this thing about hijacking bridesmaids’ parties. I must have horned in on a dozen of them over the years. So one night I saw this group of girls out on the town in Chicago. Bridesmaids! I started buying them drinks; we hooked up; and after a while, the bride was all over my a**—the bride. As if that wasn’t bad enough, turned out one of the bridesmaids was the groom’s sister. Now I’ve always wondered if the bride went through with the wedding. If she did, you know the sister-in-law owned her a** for as long as that marriage lasted.”

Rodman has been married a total of 3 times and got divorced 3 times as well. His first marriage came after a 5-year relationship with Annie Bakes, back in 1992.

The marriage lasted for 82 days, with a plethora of cheating allegations being levied against Rodman during their relationship as well. Rodman had more than his fair share of issues.

However, in his book, the former forward claimed that he had since years been suffering from mental health issues. While he always claimed that it was all his fault, Rodman’s book reveals a sad state of affairs, claiming that he only wanted to live a normal life:

“The other option I considered was to keep doing what I was doing and try to fool people into believing I was something that I wasn’t. Then, I thought of a third option: Live a normal life, stay true to myself, and stay exactly where I am. I sat in that pickup and had a duel with myself. I didn’t need the gun; it all took place in my mind.”

All in all, Rodman’s life was not for the faint-hearted.
