Vettel unhappy with Raikkonen and Ferrari over lack of clarity and support during the Italian GP, as quoted by Ziggo Sport

Sebastian Vettel cut a frustrating figure post the Italian GP, as the German further lost out on WDC points to Hamilton, as the Mercedes man clinched victory in Ferrari territory, despite both Ferrari cars having qualified ahead of him.

While not much was spoken with respect to Ferrari’s strategy and team orders post the race on Sunday, Vettel has now launched an infamous attack on his teammate for not having given him the space on Turn 1 and even after that.

Vettel had tried a move on Kimi at the first chicane but the Finn was in no mood to give away his hard earned pole position and hence defended against Vettel.

“When I had to evade him in the next chicane, Lewis could get past,” Vettel said as quoted by Ziggo Sport. 

“I had no space and made a spin and had severe damage.” he added.

Vettel then went onto say that he has to race three cars in his bid to rise to the top, something that is clearly not the case for Hamilton at Mercedes, where Bottas is fine with playing second fiddle.

“I’m not particularly happy with the way Ferrari managed things on Saturday.

“It should’ve been me starting from pole position.

“For me, it’s clear: I have to race three cars, including my teammate.” Vettel said.

Ferrari have clearly been rocked by what transpired on the track on Sunday and Vettel is furious with how he is now 30 points adrift the top of the driver’s standings.

Furthermore, the Kimi contract situation has fuelled even more tension in the Ferrari camp. According to reports Leclerc is now almost certain to drive for Ferrari in 2019.

Now, will that mean some more fierce racing from Kimi against his own teammate or will Ferrari be able to work things out between the two?
