Neymar Jr Wins $100 Against ‘Close Friend’ Jimmy Butler Amid $1,050,000 Controversy Dangling Over His Head
Neymar Jr., the Paris Saint-Germain forward, is one of the greatest soccer players of all time. If you ask his friend from the NBA, Jimmy Butler, about it, he will call him the GOAT. The two superstars’ friendship started a few years back, and since then both of them could be seen attending each other’s big games. Neymar flew to Miami to support Butler in the recently concluded NBA Finals, which his team lost eventually. Coming off the Finals defeat, the Heat star is on a trip to Brazil with Neymar. They are having a great time, as Butler’s Instagram stories revealed the Brazilian winning a $100 wager in a game of Bowling.
One of the big names of the Brazilian national football team, Neymar, has been surrounded by controversies of late. As per Reuters, the construction of his mansion in Rio de Janeiro has been stopped due to environmental violations which might cost him a fine of 5 million reais ($1,050,000). This came out when the PSG superstar was already going through a scandal, as he reportedly cheated on pregnant girlfriend Bruna Biancardi. So, some time with his friend Jimmy might give Neymar the break he deserves.
Jimmy Butler loses $100 to Neymar Jr. at Bowling
You’d think a friend would let the other win a game of Bowling when he just came off a heartbreaking loss in the NBA Finals. But probably Neymar needed the win more than Jimmy. The latter and some other friends of the two lost a $100 bet to Neymar recently after he hit the last spares to win the game.
Jimmy shared the clips on his Instagram stories. You can watch the same in the following Jimmy Butler updates on Twitter by the page, ‘What are NBA Celebs Upto?’

It looks like both the stars are having an amazing time together during the off-season.
It has been 6 years of bromance between ‘Ney’ and Jimmy
‘Ney’ is what apparently Jimmy calls the Brazilian star footballer. Their bromance dates back to 2017 when Butler was roaming in Paris with a Brazil jersey and met with PSG’s #10.
We also saw the Heat star in Parc des Princes in the summer of 2021, where he revealed his desire of playing football alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
While the Heat star has declared Neymar as the GOAT of soccer, the latter only has him as the sixth man in his all-time list of basketball players. The top-5 five were Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James, and Stephen Curry.
