Premier League 2018/19: Tottenham vs Liverpool prediction
TheSportsRush brings Tottenham vs Liverpool prediction, as Liverpool aim to continue their winning run in the league.
Jurgen Klopp’s side has made a flying start to the 2018/19 league campaign. Liverpool sit on the top of the table, being one of the only three sides to have a perfect record from the first four games so far.
Liverpool are still relatively sloppy in the defence, and overcame a howler from their newest signing Alisson in their last game against Leicester. Jurgen Klopp’s men secured three points, however, from the match. Their attacking-trio of Salah, Mane and Firmino continues to be solid in front of the goal, and even when Salah had an off-day in the fourth game-week, Mane and Firmino stepped up to guide the Merseyside club to victory.
Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a crushing 3-0 victory at Old Trafford on third game-week of the season, before being brought down 2-1 by Watford. Mauricio Pochettino’s side looked highly uninspiring at the Vicarage Road, and never looked like scoring a goal. Tottenham has suffered with inconsistency for seasons now, and Pochettino needs to address the concerns before the match against Liverpool.
Prediction:
Liverpool will have their first real test, especially in defence, when they face Pochettino’s Spurs this weekend. In their previous three meetings, Liverpool and Tottenham have won a game each, while the two shared a point in their last match earlier this year at Anfield. In Liverpool’s last visit to Wembley, they were humbled 4-1, as Kane scored a brace.

The odds for the match are understandably close for both the sides, but Liverpool have marginally better returns on their victory due to their terrific form. Skybet and Ladbrokes have 7/5 odds on Liverpool’s win, while 13/5 and 5/2 respectively on their loss.
BetVictor is offering 15/8 on a draw, which are amongst the highest odds on the result.
