Neymar Transfer News: PSG ask for Ivan Rakitic and Ousmane Dembele to be included in Neymar deal as Barcelona continue their pursuit of the Brazilian.
Neymar’s purported move to Barcelona from PSG has lasted all summer. However, it seems that a resolution is now in sight. The Brazilian has let known his desire to move back to Barcelona. The Blaugrana are also keen to have him in their fold. Unfortunately, they do not possess the funds to make the move on cash alone.
PSG bought Neymar from Barcelona two years ago in a world record move. While they’re open to seeing the back of Neymar, they don’t want to make a loss or at least not too much.
Rakitic and Dembele to PSG
Sport have reported that PSG and Barcelona are negotiating a loan deal for the Brazilian with an obligation to buy. Barcelona have been told to include two players in the deal to substantially lower the transfer price. The two being, Ousmane Dembele and Ivan Rakitic.
Ousmane Dembele has been on PSG’s radar for a while and the Parisian Club even pursued him. However, the Frenchman instead chose Barcelona in 2017. Like Dembele, Rakitic has also been on PSG’s radar for a while. Convincing the Croatian to join them may however prove to be difficult. Especially after he expressed his desire to stay at Barcelona last month.
Barcelona have already purchased an attacking option in Antoine Griezmann. However, Lionel Messi has urged Barcelona to purchase Neymar. The Argentine believes that Neymar could be vital to Barcelona’s chances at bagging the Champions League this season. So far, there has been no breakthrough in the transfer talks between Barcelona and PSG. However, it seems that the transfer may just go through after all.
