WATCH: Kimi pulls off a kart 360 on his trip to Thailand
Kimi Raikkonen is enjoying some time off in Thailand before the all important Singapore GP.
Raikkonen was karting at the Impact Speed Park in the Thai capital Bangkok. Raikkonen seemed to be pretty thrilled about the entire thing, as he posted on Instagram that he won the race.
He also went ahead and posted a video of a ‘kart 360’ that he successfully pulled off, one that requires a high amount of skill. For the viewers pleasure, Kimi gave two angles of that video and also provided us with a ‘slow motion’ of the same.
Check out his post:
Kimi Raikkonen is going to embark on a new journey in his F1 career, one where he’ll be rejoining his boyhood team Sauber.
The move was one that wasn’t really on the cards, as the general sentiment all around the F1 fraternity was that Raikkonen would leave F1, if Ferrari refused to renew his contract.
Ferrari let the saga roll on for sometime, before finally announcing the departure of Raikkonen and the arrival of Leclerc for 2019.
Raikkonen had a pretty average weekend at Singapore, not able to extract the required pace from Ferrari and qualifying in P5 despite seeming really fast in free practice.
During the race too, he wasn’t really able to launch a challenge to overtake Bottas. Clearly there wasn’t enough pace in that Ferrari and they’ll need to sort their issues quickly or they could see both the driver’s and the constructor’s championship drift away from themselves.
Russia is going to be an interesting weekend, especially when Mercedes have never lost there.
