Lewis Hamilton Hits Out at FIA for Being a ”Men’s Club”
Lewis Hamilton has always been a figure to speak on societal norms. Known to be the most vocal driver on things away from F1 Paddock, the Mercedes star has made a name of being a social activist. And now, according to Dutch Racingnews365, Hamilton, yet again took a dig at FIA for improper gender representation in Formula 1, or racing in general.
Hamilton has recently opened up on how Formula 1 has no prominent woman driver in the sport. He also emphasized how the sport has mainly been male-dominated and the involvement of women is astoundingly less.

This has come ever after the FIA, the racing regulatory body launched an F1 academy, especially for Women. There women can have specialised training and development if they want to become an F1 driver in the future.
Hamilton on FIA criticism over improper representation
Hamilton, in a recent development, targeted FIA for not encouraging to have more gender diversity in the sport. As there is a lack of gender inclusiveness in motorsport as a whole, Hamilton was not impressed.
Speaking of this, he said, “It doesn’t surprise me. It’s been a men’s club for years since the day I got here. People probably don’t think it’s important enough to change that. Maybe there’s another side to that story, but it’s certainly not encouraging to hear.”
Apart from this, the Silver Arrows ace has also been vocal about human rights in the Middle East, specifically Saudi Arabia. Along with this, the 38-year-old also opposed the FIA’s sanction on him regarding the Jewelry ban.
Hamilton versus FIA on Jewelry Ban
Going by the appearance of Lewis Hamilton, he has always been fond of having jewelry on his body. So much so he even has them pierced into his body. And this was something the FIA held dangerous while racing.

After repeated warnings, the Mercedes driver tried to abide by the rules. However, he soon suffered a medical condition after the piercing was taken out as he got a blood blister due to an infection.
Speaking of this, he said as per Deccan Herald, “Then I went back and had to have the blood blister fixed because there was pus and blood and stuff, and then I put this in and the last two weeks it started to heal.”
