Kimi Raikkonen’s hilarious response when asked if the Champagne tasted sweeter
Kimi Raikkonen’s race win in Austin has caught the imagination of the entire F1 fraternity, as the Finn managed to grind out a win after a gap of 113 race starts.
It was refreshing to see Kimi return back to winning races, as a champion like him shouldn’t be kept away from the limelight for a long time.
Iceman has been guilty of inconsistent performances in the past, but in the 2018 season, especially after the announcement that he won’t be continuing at Ferrari in 2019 was made, Raikkonen has found an extra gear, and has been able to dish out brilliant performances.
Kimi was a happy man post the race yesterday, not going overboard with his celebrations, but sporting a nice smile and just seeming content about everything that had transpired on track.
After he announced that he would be moving to Sauber from 2019, Ferrari fans were desperate to see Kimi win a race for Ferrari one last time, after all he is till the reigning Ferrari Formula 1 champion.
Now, while Kimi’s radio message post the race was one to be remembered for a long time, the Finn also had a fun conversation about the podium champagne, and if it tasted better after winning the race.
Kimi replied with a typical non-chalant hilarious statement, saying that unfortunately it tasted same as what it tastes like when finishes in 2nd or 3rd place.
Check out the video:
Kimi was ook na de race nog in bloedvorm! Vraag: “Hoe smaakte de champagne na eindelijk weer eens een zege.” Kimi: “Helaas hetzelfde als na P2 of P3.” 😂😂 #F1 #held pic.twitter.com/BT8z9QpYZ9

Raikkonen will now be hoping that he can somehow grind out one more win in the last 3 races, so as to end his Ferrari career on a high.
