WATCH: Hamilton takes Stranger things star on a F1 lap
Lewis Hamilton is on course to win his 5th World Title and was ideally supposed to do it in America, having qualified in pole position, with his title rival Sebastian Vettel, having had to settle for P5.
Hamilton’s chances were further handed a boost when Vettel spun during his battle with Ricciardo, and was forced to restart from the tail.
Hamilton and Mercedes though did not quite have a sound tyre strategy and thus had to go in for two pit stops whereas everyone else on the grid was on a one pit stop strategy.
The Brit thus had to settle for 3rd place , with Vettel slotting in behind him in 4th place. The result meant that title race extended to Mexico, with Hamilton still needing 5 points to wrap things up.
Lewis’ favourtie moment from the weekend came during his hot lap around the Circuit of the Americas with Stranger Things star, Millie Bobby Brown.
The young star had asked Lewis to go easy in the car, but obviously the race driver in Hamilton did not quite listen to that request.
Millie was obviously a little frightened inside the car, as Lewis was sliding through corners and seemingly pushing the car to its limits.
Brown though had her favourite radio station on in order to get a little distracted from all the high speed driving.
In the end, Hamilton also treated the star to a few 360 degree spins, much to the delight of the onlookers(but not much appreciated by Millie Bobby Brown).
The duo later posted a picture of themselves after the completion of the lap.
