Hamilton unhappy with FIA and Pirelli over FP3 fiasco
Lewis Hamilton has gone ahead and apologised to the fans in Mexico and those watching over television, as the teams were forced to sit out FP3 before the track dried up as they didn’t have enough wets for practice, qualifying and the raceday.
Hamilton took to Instagram to show his unhappiness over the situation, especially for the fans, who would have been frustrated by this lack of action.
The Brit said that the FIA/Pirelli aren’t allowing an extra set of tyres for FP3 and because teams don’t have enough for today and tomorrow, most of the teams would sit out till the track dries.

With the weather getting better late on into the session, the drivers were able to put some laps in. Max Verstappen once again topped the charts, clean sweeping the practice sessions in Mexico.
Max had a hydraulic issue last night, one that had forced him to stop running in FP2, but that was only after he had set the fastest timing of the session.
Hamilton would be gunning for his 5th world title on race day tomorrow and needs just a 7th place finish in order to clinch it.
Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari would be hoping for a Hamilton DNF, one that looks highly unlikely, despite Mercedes having a host of problems this week.
Moreover, Ferrari and Vettel will find it extremely difficult to win this weekend, as Red Bull have been extremely dominant in a circuit where engine power has been heavily neutralised by the altitude.
