Real Madrid double swoop: Spanish giants eye Premier League duo
Real Madrid double swoop: The European champions are eyeing the star-studded Premier League duo.
Real Madrid have had a quiet season so far. The side has struggled in the La Liga, where they are currently 6th in the table, but only 4 points behind league leaders Barcelona.
Real Madrid’s summer transfer window saw the departure of club’s biggest star, Cristiano Ronaldo. While Real Madrid didn’t make significant offensive signings for the first-team, they bought Thibaut Courtois towards the end of the window.
After a thumping 5-1 loss to Barcelona, Real Madrid parted ways with Julen Lopetegui and appointed Santiago Solari as the interim manager. After a series of positive results since Solari’s appointment, the club signed Solari for a permanent role until 2021.
Real Madrid look to make amends to a disappointing transfer window this season, and have reportedly identified the star Premier League duo to fill the voids in the attack.
Real Madrid double swoop:
The Spanish giants are plotting a stunning move on Premier League duo of Marcus Rashford and Christian Eriksen, according to English outlet, The Sun.
Marcus Rashford has had a slow start to the new season at Manchester United, but impressed the fans with his performances for the national team in the international break.

Christian Eriksen, meanwhile, has been one of the key figures for Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham. In the 2017/18 season, the Dane footballer was selected for the PFA Team of the Year, alongside fellow teammates Harry Kane and Jan Vertonghen.
The current season for Eriksen was marginally marred by an injury which kept him out for a month.

The Sun reports that Real Madrid are plotting a 90 million pounds move for both the players. While the club intends to spend 50m pounds for the Manchester United youngster, a bid in the region of 40m pounds is plotted for Eriksen.

Real Madrid, however, could face a tough competition for the Manchester United star from Italian giants Juventus. English outlet ‘Times’ has reported Juventus’ interest in Rashford, stating that the Italian side is ‘making discreet checks on the player’s background and character.’
