Warrant issued against Cristiano Ronaldo: Police issues warrant for Ronaldo’s DNA
Warrant issued against Cristiano Ronaldo: A warrant has been issued for Ronaldo’s DNA in the rape case filed by Kathryn Mayorga.
Last year, Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo was accused of rape by an American woman, Kathryn Mayorga.
The 34-year-old woman alleged that the incident took place in 2009 in a suite in Las Vegas, and that Ronaldo paid her $375,000 to keep the assault a secret.
While Ronaldo has continually denied the allegations, stating that his lawyers are working to bring him to justice, an ex-girlfriend of Ronaldo’s recently broke silence on the issue.
She alleged that she has ‘proofs’ which will bring the victim to justice, and that the Portuguese forward is a ‘psychopath.’
And now, a warrant has been issued for Cristiano Ronaldo’s DNA. Here’s the full story:
Warrant issued against Cristiano Ronaldo:
The authorities in Las Vegas have issued a warrant for the Juventus forward’s DNA as they continue to investigate in Kathryn Mayorga’s rape case.
The objective behind obtaining Ronaldo’s DNA is to see if it matches the DNA found on the victim’s dress.
Ronaldo’s lawyers have denied the allegations on multiple occasions, and his attorney Peter S. Christiansen spoke on the warrant issued by the Las Vegas police earlier this week.

Breaking: Lawyer of Cristiano Ronaldo tells us it is “not surprising” after reports that Las Vegas police have issued a warrant to obtain the player’s DNA, after claims – which he denies – that he raped a woman in the US city 9 years ago, calling it a “very standard request”. pic.twitter.com/vjksc06T6K

“Mr. Ronaldo has always maintained, as he does today, that what occurred in 2009 in Las Vegas was consensual in nature,” he said.
“So it is not surprising that DNA would be present, nor that the police would make this very standard request as part of their investigation.”
Earlier, the Las Vegas police found DNA other than Kathryn Mayorga’s on the dress she wore on the night when the alleged incident took place.
Ronaldo, 24, met Mayorga in the Rain nightclub at the Palms Casino resort, and invited her to his suite for the night.
Mayorga’s lawyer’s claims rely on the part of the document which includes Ronaldo’s description of the incidents inside the suite.
In the document possessed by the lawyer, Ronaldo is quoted as saying, “She said no and stop several times.”
On October 3 last year, Cristiano Ronaldo issued an official statement on social media platform Twitter, where he denied the allegations.
“I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me. Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in.
