WATCH: Hamidou Diallo jumps over Shaq and hangs over the rim by his forearm
Hamidou Diallo brought back Blake Griffin and Vince Carter memories to the All-Star weekend today with his exceptional dunk over Shaquille O’Neal.
Diallo has an exceptional vertical jump and he showed his prowess through and through in Charlotte today.
In the final face off against Dennis Smith Jr., Diallo came out on top, winning it 88-85 in the final round.
The dunk of the night came from Diallo, one in which he used the great Shaq as a prop.
Diallo had Shaq standing below the rim and was going to jump over him and knock the dunk down.
While the idea was clear to everyone, as soon as Shaq stood beneath the ring, the execution was just out of the world.
Diallo handsomely jumped over Shaq, knocked down the dunk and kept hanging over the rim by his forearm.
He also ended up revealing the ‘Superman’ shirt that he was wearing underneath his jersey, rounding off the best dunk of the night.
Shaq’s reaction added to the entire ‘show’, as the Lakers great was astonished with what had just transpired.

This is how twitter reacted:
Maybe this bodes well for the Thunder. Paul George could win Defensive Player of the Year – and maybe MVP. Russ is breaking triple double records. Diallo wins the Dunk Contest. OKC’s year?
